Blogs and blogging

Whether it's a major corporation, a news organization, or just the guy down the street, it seems like everybody is blogging. Just like anything where "everybody's doing it", the results are variable. There are several good blogging applications. Of the crop, we favor Wordpress for its flexibility and power. It's supported by many Internet service providers, and provides an excellent information delivery platform. Not bad, for software that comes to you free of charge!

You can operate your Wordpress blog from their servers, under their domain name, or you can operate it from your web hosting account. We prefer the latter, becuase it allows you to blog under your own domain. That's an important distinction, particularly if you want to use your blog in support of your business or organization.
